How to use the text compare
The tool compares line by line, then highlights the changed words inside lines that differ. It works best when both versions have the same line breaks.
- Paste the original text on the left and the new version on the right.
- Tap Compare.
- Removed lines are shown in red and added lines in green. Changed words inside a line are highlighted.
Questions
How large can the texts be?
Thousands of lines work fine. Very large texts with many differences may be too slow to compare in a browser; compare them in sections.
Can it compare Word or PDF files?
Not directly. Copy the text out of each file and paste it in.
Is my text sent anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type or paste leaves your device.
