Find and replace

Change a name, term or spelling everywhere in a document at once.

Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere.

How to use the find and replace

Matching is case-insensitive unless you tick Match case. Whole words only skips matches inside longer words.

  1. Type the word or phrase to find, and what to replace it with.
  2. Choose match case or whole words if needed. The number of matches updates as you type.
  3. Tap Replace all, then copy the text.

Questions

What does “whole words only” do?
It skips matches inside longer words. Replacing “cat” then leaves “category” alone.
Can I use $1 in the replacement?
Yes, when “Use regular expression” is on. $1, $2 and so on insert the matching groups from your pattern.
Is my text sent anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type or paste leaves your device.
