Remove line breaks

Text copied from a PDF often breaks in the middle of sentences. Join it back up in one step.

Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere.

How to use the remove line breaks

Single line breaks inside paragraphs are joined with spaces. If you choose to keep paragraphs, blank lines between them stay as they are.

  1. Paste your text.
  2. Choose whether to keep paragraphs or join everything into one block.
  3. Copy the result.

Questions

Why does text from a PDF have so many line breaks?
PDFs store each printed line separately, so copying gives you a break at the end of every line instead of only at the end of each paragraph.
How are paragraphs detected?
A blank line between two blocks of text counts as a paragraph break. Single line breaks inside a paragraph are joined with a space.
Is my text sent anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type or paste leaves your device.
