How to use the sign PDF
The tool places a picture of your signature on the page. It isn’t a certificate-based digital signature; if a form asks for a DSC or Aadhaar eSign, use that service instead.
- Drop your PDF on the box.
- Draw, type or upload your signature.
- Go to the page, drag the signature into place and tap Add to this page.
- Tap Download signed PDF.
Questions
Is a signature added this way legally valid?
An image of your signature is an electronic signature and is widely accepted for everyday documents like rent agreements, consent forms and offer letters. Documents that must be signed with a digital signature certificate (DSC) or Aadhaar eSign, such as some government filings, need those methods instead.
Can I sign several pages at once?
Yes. Tap Add to every page to put the signature in the same spot on all pages, which is handy for initialling each page of an agreement.
Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?
No. The file is read and rebuilt by your own browser using JavaScript. It never leaves your device, which is why this works even if you go offline after the page loads.
Why does it say my PDF is password-protected?
PDFs with an open password or editing restrictions are encrypted, and this tool can’t change them without the password. Open the file in a PDF reader, save an unprotected copy, and try again.
