How to use the passport photo sheet

The tool repeats your cropped photo across the paper size you choose, with thin cut lines, at the exact physical size. Print it at 100% (actual size), not “fit to page”, or the photos will come out the wrong size.

  1. Drop a recent photo taken against a plain light wall.
  2. Choose the photo size and paper.
  3. Drag and resize the box so your face is centred.
  4. Download the PDF or JPG and print it at 100% (actual size).

Questions

What size is an Indian passport photo?
If you apply in India, the Passport Seva Kendra takes your photo at the appointment, so you don’t need prints. Indian missions and service centres abroad usually ask for 2 × 2 inch (51 × 51 mm) on a plain white background, but check the exact rules with the centre. Visa photo sizes depend on the country you’re applying to.
How many photos fit on 4 × 6 paper?
Six 35 × 45 mm photos fit on a 4 × 6 inch print, and 30 fit on an A4 sheet.
My prints came out the wrong size. Why?
The printer scaled the page. Choose “Actual size” or “100%” in the print settings, not “Fit to page”.
Can it change my background to white?
Not yet. Take the photo against a plain white or light wall for the best result.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Your photo is processed by your own browser and never sent to a server. You can even switch on airplane mode after the page loads.
