How to use the image to base64
Base64 writes binary data with 64 plain-text characters, so an image can sit inside HTML, CSS or JSON. It makes the data about a third larger, so it suits small images such as icons; large photos are better as separate files.
- Drop an image, or tap to choose one.
- Copy the data URI, the Base64 text, an <img> tag or a CSS rule.
- To go the other way, open “Base64 to image” and paste the text.
Questions
Why is the Base64 bigger than my file?
Every 3 bytes become 4 characters, so Base64 is about 33% larger than the image file.
Is my image uploaded?
No. It is read and converted by your own browser.
