How to use the GST invoice generator
When you and your customer are in the same state, GST is split equally into CGST and SGST. When the customer is in another state, the whole amount is charged as IGST. The tool decides this from the two states you choose.
- Enter your business details once. They’re remembered in this browser for next time.
- Add the customer’s name, address, GSTIN (if they have one) and state.
- Add each item with its HSN or SAC code, quantity, rate and GST rate.
- Check the preview, then tap Download PDF.
Questions
What must a GST tax invoice include?
Your name, address and GSTIN; a unique invoice number and date; the customer’s name and address (and GSTIN if registered); place of supply; HSN or SAC codes; quantity, value and taxable value; the GST rate and amount; and a signature. This tool includes all of these.
Which GST rates are available?
Since 22 September 2025 most goods and services are taxed at 5% or 18%, with 40% for luxury and “sin” goods and 3% for gold and jewellery. A few items still use other rates, such as 0.25% and 1.5% for some diamonds and stones, 12% for some building materials, and 28% for tobacco products, so all of these are available. Always check the rate for your own HSN or SAC code on the CBIC website.
Does it check my GSTIN?
Yes. It checks the format and the check digit, and warns you if the first two digits don’t match the state you chose.
Is a computer-generated invoice valid without a signature?
GST rules allow a digital signature in place of a physical one. Many businesses still add a scanned signature, which you can upload here.
Is my data stored anywhere?
Only in your own browser, so the form is filled in next time you visit. Nothing is sent to a server. Use Clear form to remove it, for example on a shared computer.
Can I write in Hindi or another Indian language?
Not in this version. The PDF uses standard fonts that only cover English letters, so ₹ is written as “Rs.” and other scripts show as “?”. The marriage biodata maker does support every Indian language.
