The OM does not say in which month arrears will be paid. Ask your DDO.
For now, the DR figure follows the employee DA order. DoE raised DA from 60% to 63% from 1 July 2026 (OM of 29 Oct 2026). The Cabinet approved the same rise for DR on 28 Oct 2026.
The DoPPW Dearness Relief order is not yet issued for 1 July 2026. Wait for the DoPPW Dearness Relief order for Central Government pensioners (from 1 Jul 2026). Then check with your bank or pension disbursing office.
Most employees are on the 7th CPC pay matrix.
Only the Basic Pay line on your pay slip. Not gross. Do not add special pay.
Your DDO decides this. The OM does not give a month. Arrears are counted from July 2026 up to the month before this.

How to use the DA arrears calculator
Extra DA for a month is DA at the new rate minus DA at the old rate. Each rate is a percent of Basic Pay, rounded as Para 4 of the OM says: 50 paise and above goes up to the next rupee, and below 50 paise is dropped. The total is the sum of those months, from July 2026 up to the month before the one you pick.
- Pick employee or pensioner.
- Pick your pay scale. For 7th CPC the rise is 3 percentage points of Basic Pay.
- Type your Basic Pay, or your basic pension.
- Pick the first month the new rate will be in your salary or pension. Ask your DDO or bank if you do not know. The OM does not give a month.
- If your Basic Pay changed in between, tick the box and add the new figure. This box is hidden for pensioners.
Understanding your result
The monthly rise is DA at the new rate minus DA at the old rate, after the rounding in Para 4 of the OM. The arrears total is the sum of those months. The OM does not name a payment month, so the month you pick is your own. For a pensioner, the figure follows the employee DA order until the DoPPW Dearness Relief order for 1 July 2026 is issued. Your pay slip or pension slip is final.
