How to use the watermark PDF
A purpose-specific watermark on ID copies, such as "Submitted to ABC Bank for KYC on 10 Oct 2026", makes it harder for anyone to misuse the copy elsewhere.
- Drop your PDF on the box.
- Type the watermark text.
- Choose placement, size, colour and opacity.
- Tap Add watermark and download the file.
Questions
Can the watermark be removed later?
It is drawn onto each page, so it can’t be switched off in a reader. A determined person with editing software could still remove it, so for sensitive files keep it specific and dated.
Can I use Hindi or other Indian scripts?
Not yet. This version supports English letters, numbers and common punctuation.
Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?
No. The file is read and rebuilt by your own browser using JavaScript. It never leaves your device, which is why this works even if you go offline after the page loads.
Why does it say my PDF is password-protected?
PDFs with an open password or editing restrictions are encrypted, and this tool can’t change them without the password. Open the file in a PDF reader, save an unprotected copy, and try again.
